Umisachi Yukinoya, which was jointly established by Kansai Electric Power and IMY Engineering, has completed construction of a land-based shrimp farming plant in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture. A completely closed circulation land-based aquaculture system is adopted, and since the water used is reused, it is possible to cultivate without causing marine pollution. In addition, by using AI image recognition processing to estimate the number of fish, which was conventionally performed visually, the accuracy of production, feeding, and shipping plans can be improved, reducing costs and improving productivity.
